Norma Falcón

Biologist graduated from the Universidad Veracruzana, with a diploma in Sustainable Rural Development from the Colegio de Postgraduados. Norma works in projects regarding agriculture, particularly coffee cultivation for municipalities with an indigenous population in the High Mountains of the center of Veracruz, Mexico. She is fond of rural traditions and culture, including its gastronomy, textiles, patron saint festivities and architecture. She is a volunteer in the feminist organization Empoderando Mujeres A.C. and in various activities in favor of the environment and respect for animals.

Gabriela Lavalle

Director of the Mexican Institute of Culture in Houston. Visual person, fanatic of discovering new ways of seeing life and conceptualizing ideas. Studied Visual Arts and Photography. Master on Visual Communications applied to Publishing. For over a decade has worked on projects related to photography and promoting artistic endeavors, with special interest in early art appreciation for children and accessibility of art across all publics. 

Itzel Mendoza

Passionate Floral Artist certified by the Escuela Española de Arte Floral. Engineer in Horticulture. Master in Landscape Architecture. Has developed and implemented projects with rural communities in Veracruz, Mexico in topics of gender equality and family rights. Owner and floral designer at Etxal Arte Floral. Environmental activist. In love with trees, flowers and nature.

Alejandra Mendoza

Art Conservator specialized in Conservation of Photographs. Former Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Fellow at the Advance Residency Program in Photograph Conservation. Has extensive work in Art Museums and Cultural Institutions in the United States and Mexico, and has worked directly with Artists advising on topics of art conservation and documentation. With a keen interest in nature, photographs, textiles and contemporary art.

Jo Ana Morfin

Time-based media conservator who works on projects in the field of Digital Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Art. Morfin, trained as a conservator of traditional artworks, now researches issues of digital preservation, as well as the creative use of documentation and archives, and the crossovers between Performance Studies and Variable Media Art preservation. 

Teresa Morte

Journalist, designer and teacher. After a few years as a reporter, she dedicated to social communication in non-governmental organizations for development. Community work led her to discover her passion for teaching. She combines upper-middle-level classes with independent writing and design work. She collaborates with groups that promote reading and creative writing, she finds happiness in the arts and nature, she is always eager to learn.

 

Rafael Muñoz-Márquez

Scholar and Researcher with continuous interest in Landscape. Landscape Architect, Master in Sciences, Master in Valuation, Phd in Landscape Planning. For over two decades has imparted courses for college and masters students primarily at Colegio de Postgraduados and Universidad Veracruzana. Environmental activist, hiker, runner and musician, who loves spending time with his family and pets. 

Arak Olmos

Learning is the engine of life. Physics Engineer, Entrepreneur and Parent. Telescope Engineer and Site Manager for twelve years at The Large Millimeter Telescope Alfonso Serrano, binational project between Mexico and the United States. He runs companies related to food trade, agriculture, construction and forestry in Mexico. Main project, the family.
